This winch lifting device from Sala offers a gear ratio of 6:1, a "quick-mount bracket", an automatic clutch/brake and a swivelling connecting hook.
The 6:1 gear ratio of the device allow an average lifting speed of 3.9 metres per min with a cranking speed of approximately 60 revolutions per minute.
The Sala "quick-mount" mounting bracket is incorporated into the winch, for direct attachment to Sala supporting structures such as Tripods or Davit arms.
The automatic clutch/brake will hold the load if the handle is released. The winch also incorporates an overload clutch limiting the lifting force to approximately 315kg, reducing the chance of injury if a worker becomes entangled during retrieval. The maximum working capacity for this device 160kg.
A connecting swivelling hook is supplied attached to the end of the cable, the hook incorporates an overload indicator.
The reserve lifeline system built into this winch insures even at the end of the cables travel, the devices energy absorption system functions correctly. To remove the line rapidly from the device, there is a free wheel mode.
This winch conforms to the standard EN1496.
